Work Description

This artwork draws inspiration from the traditional Buddhist sculptures depicting heavenly warriors trampling on small demons. The heads of the two characters are depicted with mouths but no eyes, symbolizing their inability to see each other clearly while being locked in a confrontation. The concept behind this artwork stems from online violence and debates, where negative information and events are constantly criticized. Internet users with different perspectives often spark heated discussions. Negative events that receive attention often lead to strangers hurling insults, accusations, or expressions of sympathy towards the individuals involved. This artwork may reflect my inner feelings when I come across negative news on the internet. Though I cannot claim to fully understand the events themselves, my understanding is based solely on one-sided reports and descriptions from third parties.

I find this artwork's design concept quite intriguing. It presents common issues found on the internet in a concrete and visual manner. The constant debates and discussions surrounding topics like online violence are embodied in the artwork, with the two figures engaged in a fight. From a creative standpoint, I find this idea quite interesting as it reflects a characteristic of our current era.
