Work Description

An ancient saying goes: "Born in distress, died in comfort." In today's world, as humanity finds itself immersed in the vast digital society, our footsteps are inevitably accompanied by the influence of artificial intelligence. Is this a liberation that humans aspire to, or a subtle form of bondage? Should we seek comfort or remain vigilant?

Expert Reviews

Zhi Min (Vice President of China Academy of Art):
This work utilizes the replicability of digital technology to create an infinite number of virtual robots, complemented by a blue tone and a sense of lines, enhancing technological attributes and creating an abyss where humans are gazed upon and enveloped by virtual characters. From the perspective of VR real machine experience, the upward viewing method highlights the insignificance of humanity and enhances the sense of oppression brought by digital robots. The work raises personal thoughts and concerns about the development and application of artificial intelligence and the construction of a digital social system. In the face of endless numbers, human individuals appear insignificant. In the future development, whether humanity is the master of technology or will eventually be controlled by technology requires us to witness the arrival of the future together.
