Work Description

The Eastern Sea is home to a creature called the Lurker. It resembles a rabbit with horns, long slender eyes, a snake-like neck, a fan-like tail, and long pointed ears. It is feared by lions as its roar can cause their bodies to rot instantly. It has a dog-like appearance and is believed to be a divine creature of the sea. Its front paws resemble those of an eagle, covered in scales, and it is exceptionally fierce, capable of devouring dragons.

This artwork depicts a scene of the ancient mythical beast, the Lurker, hunting. The combination of sculpture and action figure techniques is used to present the scene, allowing for both a realistic and fantastical atmosphere while maintaining the dynamic and cohesive nature unique to sculptures.

The artwork combines traditional mythical creature imagery with action figure elements, showcasing the artist's strong sculpting skills. It brings new vitality to the image of the ancient mythical beast, appearing as if it is descending from the sky. It combines the beauty of traditional sculpture with the freshness of trendy action figures. Art has always been about innovation. This artwork is rooted in ancient Eastern culture while further exploring a sculptural art form with distinct contemporary characteristics. In the collision between the present and the past, this contemporary sculpture creation with naturalistic features becomes more vibrant.
